My year review

Today I was creating a 2016 year review for next year. I was adding photos of my year and of my friends. The easy part was finding photos and putting them into my slides. The hard part was choosing the photos for my slides. Next time I will try to put more pictures and words into my slides. The hard part was figuring out what to put into my slides and the words to use in my slides.

My athlete diary

This is My athlete diary. I wrote this because of how I would have felt if I was a athlete and the feeling that an athlete would feel competing in the underwater hurdles race for Olympics. The hard part about it would have probably been using more higher level words. I also wrote this to learn how to put descriptive detail into my writing.

This is my writing of something I didn't do in the holiday's. I also learnt how to use more appropriate word's instead of said,went,going and get. So now I've posted my work on my blog for everyone to read.

Nga hakari

This is my kai table and what I learnt and have been learning for the past few weeks is how to write Maori sentences. I created it on a google slides, I have been making pictures to match my sentences.

Matariki day

Today we celebrated Matariki day at our school by doing Maori games, and Maori tradition's. We also celebrated  Matariki day in Waitangi on the treaty ground's. We played fun games and made flax kites, some of the games we played where Hakariki, Tipuwai and plenty others. It was a fun day out of class doing fun activity's.

My family

Last week were learning how to write a metaphor. We compared our family with a box of chocolate. It was really fun learning how to write metaphors Last week. Here is mine.

The box of chocolate

My family lives in a shiny dark purple and most wanted to be brought  box of chocolate…………..

My brother Zlynd is a sticky caramel chocolate that is  soft centered in the middle, but on the outside he is chunky and strong. My brother  Te tau is the tender chocolate, his hands are always doing hard work . My sister Dijontae is the raspberry chocolate that is sweet with a red on the inside and and brown on the outside, she is kind and ferocious. Angel is a hard top deck chocolate that is solid and sensitive. Daniel is a lumpy bumpy snickers that is always energetic and admirable. Edekai is a crumbly flake that  is soft and cheeky. Ru is a light bumpy snickers that is gentle and small. William is a bubbly chocolate with light green eyes, and he is chubby cheeky and soft centered. Lastly I’m the box that holds the brotherly sisterly bond together.

This is my science project I did with Mrs Cowels. She taught us about what happens when we combine two things together, like wet and dry things. We used school iPads to take photos for our slides. Makere, Te Aranga mai and I had watched our science project pop up into the sky and then got writing again on our Chromebooks about how our project worked and our experiment.

Map instructions

For math I have been learning how to use compass directions and to follow instruction's to find buried treasure hidden on a island. This is a map that I made with buried treasure to find as part of my maths activity. I hope you try it. Leave a comment where you think the treasure is buried and I will contact you if you are right. 6. Go through the Forest right in front of you
7. Walk North to the long lost tree
